Marine Superintendent - Passenger Vessels (f/m)
Due to our continuous fleet expansion, we are looking for the right individual to strengthen and complement our Hamburg based team.

Tasks:

• Ensure that the Companys Management System, policies, standards and procedures are effectively implemented on the vessels;
• Ensure that allocated vessels are performing to the customers satisfaction and are ready for third party inspections at any time;
• Attend the vessels and assist during such inspections where desirable;
• Conduct regular ship visits and ensure that issues raised during such visits are followed up and dealt with as quickly as possible;
• Support the Master in applying navigational practices and bridge procedures in line with regulatory and Company policies, ensuring high standards of navigation to maintain the safety of vessels, crews and cargoes, and the protection of the environment;
• Identify training needs during ships visits and provide such training where practical;
• Follow up on observations issued during third party inspections;
• Monitor reporting from the vessels and keep required control on the performance;
• Conduct marine briefings;
• Conduct interviews of prospective candidates for promotions to Senior Officers or of new entrants to the Company for these positions;
• Conduct investigations of marine related accidents / incidents.

Profile:

• Seagoing experience in a command position of not less than two years;
• Good working knowledge of international rules and regulations and of industry guidelines and recommendations;
• Good operational knowledge of the types of ships for which the Marine Superintendent is responsible;
• Good command of the German and English language.
